With spring season just around the corner the housing market gets ready for what they believe will bring buyers back into the market. According to the Los Angeles Times, “Home prices in Southern California held steady in February for the first time in nearly a year...” This in relationship to the average median home price in Southern California dropped 39 percent. In the San Diego Union Tribune, “The price in a six-county region of Southern California plunged to $250,000 last month, compared to $408,000 in February of 2008...” Homes at a cheaper price give bargain hunting buyers the chance of buying homes at higher end communities. However in the San Francisco Chronicle argues that higher end communities have been lagging to sell as do in lower end communities as a result lower end communities need to start selling before anything else can.
